Welcome to Mentor Education. Our mission is to have a positive impact on every child we teach. More than just grades going up or exams passed, although these are of course important, we want to help children improve their focus and concentration, ignite a life long love of learning and help them cope better with stressful situations such as exams and school moves. Our teachers give children one to one attention, tailored learning and subtle mentoring meaning that their behaviour at home and at school is always positively affected.For FamiliesWe specialise in one to one tuition for the main academic subjects taught in UK schools and London schools' entrance exams, particularly the 11+ and increasingly the 7+. We also offer academic assessments to help parents understand their child's suitability for competitive London day schools.For Schools, Virtual Schools and Local AuthoritiesWe work closely with many London schools, Academy groups and Local Authorities to provide extra tuition for children. This is often due to missed school, health issues, being a looked after child or having additional needs such as dyslexia, ADHD or autism. We can provide tuition for children both in the school environment or in families' homes. To work with us and work with you, our tutors pass the most stringent tests. In addition to their teaching qualifications, we also check their degree certificate and take up two teaching references. All tutors must have an Enhanced DBS background check and we also perform extra identity checks including a copy of their passport and proof of their legal right to work in the UK.
