The great demand for a good English medium School was the need of the area in the trans G.T part of the Kanpur city known as Kidwai Nagar. Responding to the need, Late. Mrs. Sophie Shukla established a school in the Y' Block in 1983 as a tribute to the memory of her worthy sister Miss Mercy Roberts. This was done through the aegis of Huddard Junior High School Society, primarily for the education of Christian Children, but it also allowed its institutions to admit children irrespective of caste or creed.
