MERIC was established in August 1999 as the Authorized Agent & Distributor for International Organizations Publications in the Middle East and North Africa. As well as, a Publisher and a Marketing specialist in the MENA Region. As MERIC believes that it is only through a better flow of information that the world enhances its efficiency & effectiveness, the enlargement of our services to reach each reader in the region has been and will always be our goal. Through our services we hold a bridge between our Readers & Publishers for Communicating the latest released titles & Products. In the year 2000, MERIC was awarded by The World Bank as the ``2000 Sales Growth Leader in the Middle East & North Africa``. MERIC was selected in The Partners for Development Conference, March 2001 as one of the top 20 Bodies assisting in the development process in Egypt and The Region. At the Frankfurt International Book Fair October 2003 MERIC was awarded again by the World Bank for the ``2003 best overall performance in The Middle East & North Africa``. MERIC has also been selected as one of the top leading Booksellers in the Region via the marketing research held by The Arab Research Bureau in December 2003.
