Have you ever dreamed of being a mermaid or merman?The Mertopia Aqua Academy sets out to create a program that teaches the fundamentals of swimming like a mermaid with a huge focus on safety. Before commencing swimming safely as a mermaid, a skills test is conducted to make sure all students have the basic competency to swim with both a monofin and tail, students also need to be 10 years and over. A qualified AUSTSWIM Swimming instructor who has been trained in swimming in a mermaid tail plus an additional supervisor is on hand for classes of 10 to 12 students.The initial class "Introduction to Swimming as a Mermaid 101" is an experience that includes:*Safety and tail care*Basic mermaid movements*Imaginative play*Photo shoot*Certificate*Tail RentalThis class is a prerequisite for additional mermaid classes including Basic and intermediate Mermaid Swimming Lessons as well as a specially developed class incorporating aqua aerobics all done while wearing a mermaid tail. Fantastic for core fitness, swimming in a mermaid motion also provides a great way to have fun while being fit. A terrific idea for a girls or ladies night in, birthday party for swimmers aged 10 and above* or even a fun way to celebrate a hens night.Bring out the mermaid in YOU!*swimmers must pass a swimming test of Swim and Survive level 6 or equivalent to be able to participate
