Messam & Rider was established in November 1998 by Steve Messam and Colin Rider (joint Directors). The business commenced trading as an occupational health, safety and environmental training and consultancy service from modest rented offices in Leamington Spa. Louise Astill, who, in an administrative role, helped Messam & Rider develop in the early months, accepted the offer of a Directorship in 1999.Messam & Rider Ltd. was able to build on this success and develop clients within additional industries such as BAE Systems, Airbus, Boots, American Airlines, Qatar Airlines, PDSA, Stannah Group and others.Messam & Rider Ltd. is a provider of occupational health, safety and environmental training and consultancy services. These services include the provision of in-company training courses developed specifically for a client, with the courses tailored to their own requirements and the provision of public courses to national standards, including NEBOSH and Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) programmes. In addition, the business offers consultancy services in occupational health, safety and environmental compliance and improvements. This could include the implementation of structured safety managements systems, the provision of risk assessments, accident investigations in addition to audits and inspections.
