Meta Touch is a homegrown UAE start-up company based in Science and Innovation Park (SIP) at the UAE University. It is cofounded and managed by a multidisciplinary team at UAEU with backgrounds in Engineering, Robotics, Business and Marketing.The Meta Touch company's prime goal is to design, develop and deploy technologies that would enhance human lives as well as contribute in solving challenges faced by mankind such as inventing Touchless technology that would enable us to go about our daily lives and interact with devices such as elevators, ATM Machines or Vending Machines without touching any buttons.According to the World Health Organization, most of the viruses sit on surfaces and the more we interact with our surrounding without touching any surfaces, the less likelihood of getting and transmitting such viruses which influenced our thoughts in designing the Touchless Technology.One of the company's vision is to help and support the UAE in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 as Health Experts stated that elevators' buttons can seriously spread the virus COVID-19 since it could survive on surfaces for a long time — which causes a huge risk that needs to be addressed by developing Made in the UAE technologies / locally invented technologies that reduce human contact with potentially exposed contaminated areas. — Our first product is TchK; a technology solution installed in elevators to avoid cross-infection caused by touching the buttons.
