Metka - Centre for Media Education is the leading practical and pedagogical media education organization on national level in Finland. Mediametka's mandate is to provide learning materials, workshops supporting multi literacy, and connected learning as well as complimentary training for teachers, librerians and other professionals working with children and youth. The non-profit organization has been founded in 1958 for Film and TV education and is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Education. Metka reaches 10 000 to 15 000 children and youth and 1500 adults yearly with the trainings and digital materials.
