It is becoming increasingly apparent that the NHS is under great pressure at all levels. This can easily be alleviated to some extent by community pharmacies, particularly in cases commonly presented to the GP surgery ,so that GP time and attention can be redirected to more medically challenging cases. Patients regularly complain about the time it takes for an appointment at their GP surgery and the extortionate waiting hours in A&E, particularly out of hours. The vast majority of cases presented to GPs daily ,can be more appropriately dealt within the community by retail pharmacists accredited to examine and diagnose patients, after completing the appropriate training provided by MHRx.MHRx LTD develops Private Walk-In Clinics within the Retail Pharmacy, and empowers community pharmacists to fulfil their potential by optimising their clinical and examination skills, through an accredited training course so that the community pharmacist can provide a novel and bespoke prescribing service in a community setting for their patients.An additional benefit is a significantly improved relationship between the pharmacy and its nearby GP surgery. This can ultimately lead to the practice itself, referring appropriate patients to your pharmacy.This service has no requirements for CQC registration. However, if this is an avenue you would like to pursue, we have a great team to get you CQC registered. This is at an additional cost. CQC registration has been found to be a selling point to patients. In addition to safe prescribing, this service can be extended to offer a provision of phlebotomy and blood tests, vaccinations and B12 IM injections.This is designed to be a comprehensive package including all the required documents to open a successful prescribing clinic in pharmacies or dental surgeries.The package focus is on upskilling retail pharmacists to enable you to confidently and, more importantly, competently, examine, diagnose many commonly seen ailments.
