Miami Poetry Club Details
At Miami Poetry Club, we believe writers get better when they write, and we believe a community gets better when they express themselves through writing. Miami Poetry Club is a 501c3 nonprofit that seeks to cultivate the next generation of great Miami writers by offering writers space, education, and community to improve their craft. Our programming includes bi-monthly writing workshops, the Spoken Waves poetry reading series, and the publication of local writers. Our vision is to establish Miami as a world-class American literary city in league with New York and San Francisco. Miami Poetry Club is currently fundraising to establish the most extensive poetry collection in southern Florida, where writers may come to write. Modeled after the Poet's House in Brooklyn, this poetry library will host poetry club meetings, readings, workshops, and other events dedicated to the art of writing.
