Operating from heritage premises on Stanley Street at East Brisbane, we have a long established reputation for fair dealing and friendly, professional service.We love to sell furniture from the Georgian era (1714 – 1830) and earlier in Oak, Walnut and Mahogany and combine these fine pieces with the best of the Victorian (1837 -1901) and Edwardian (1901 – 1914) periods. To keep it interesting and eclectic, we add a dash French style and Australian colonial charm. We are one of the few shops where you will find an early oak refectory table, an ormolu mounted French cabinet and an Australian cedar bookcase standing side by side. We believe antiques are for using and aim to keep a range of dining furniture, interesting storage options, bookcases and desks in stock. Any small spot is filled with wine tables, umbrella stands, side tables and display cabinets so there is usually something to suit every room in the house.In addition to antique furniture, we also stock a range of interesting decorating pieces. These include cast iron benches, earthenware pots and other garden antiques, pictures, prints and mirrors, ceramics, glass and statuary. Our cabinets always have a small but select range of collectable sterling silver items such as picture frames and snuff boxes, domestic antiques including quality kitchen pieces, wine antiques and architectural fittings and interesting period jewellery. The shop always has a couple of extraordinary boxes and some interesting treen in stock. We also keep a small range of mid twentieth century (1950 – 1970) furniture by makers such as G Plan, McIntosh, Archie Shine in stock. We source new stock constantly, choosing the best and most interesting items from our local area and interstate. We also travel overseas to buy and unpack three to four shipping containers of personally selected antique and vintage stock each year. While diverse, the items we sell are unified by their quality, rarity and originality.
