Michael Fallah (known as Michael Arthur) has been designing and making jewellery for over 13 years. He began his apprenticeship at the age of 16 where he discovered a knack for creating beautiful jewellery. Continually evolving and shining in creativity, his passion and enthusiastic attitude is evident in every fine detail of his creations. After working in the jewellery industry for many years and gaining his experience in the field, Michael realised that there was something missing. A direct connection between the jeweller and the client. For many years he would see people walk into a store and select a ready-made piece that was sold to them. On most occasions the client would not have the ability to put their own flair on what they want and were unaware of a lot of the important details that go into making the luxury product they were purchasing. From this, the idea of allowing the customer to have a one on one relationship with the Jeweller emerged; bringing to life a whole original concept where they are involved in every step of the process. When stepping into his unique Haberfield studio which oozes a distinct youthful and funky vibe, Michael ensures that the client is well taken care of and the exciting process begins. Once the design and all the elements of the piece are ready, he provides the rare opportunity for people to watch him melt down the gold and create the piece right there in front of their eyes. Michael brings to life an old vintage style art form, which in our day and age is like a ‘hidden gem' from the public (pun intended). His fresh approach and engaging notion of educating and exposing the inner workings of the jewellery trade is one that he hopes will change the perception of what the jewellery industry is today. With forward thinking he aims to rejuvenate the ordinary practice of purchasing jewellery and turn it into an extraordinary experience.
