In his collections the five elements air, water, earth, fire and spirit form the starting point. He likes to create worlds, an atmosphere that tell a story. Michael creates the shapes as well as the fabrics he uses for his collections. He plays and drapes with the dynamic of fabric intuitively and directly on the body to create shapes three dimensionally. He loves construction through lightness and fluidity. His style is feminine, desirable, dreamy and poetic.The first collection he created at the start of his label in 2004 called Just three more miles to go... draping vintage parachutes to beautiful dresses won him several international design awards instantly at the prestigious Festival Internationales des Arts de la Mode in Hyeres France for an international re-knowned jury of fashionprofessionals and journalists. Like Martine Sitbon, Anna Sui, Marie Estelle You, Franco Pene, Gibo, Yvan Mispelaere and others.Michael was now able to invest in his label by the Henri Bendel Award (New York) and Puntoseta Award (Como).His work has been shown at numerous exhibitions like Boijmans van Beuningen Museum (Rotterdam) , Historical Museum (Rotterdam), Las Palmas (Rotterdam), Beurs of Berlage (Amsterdam), Ensad (Paris) and Villa Noailles Hyeres (France) and has been published in magazines worldwide like Coming Up, Blend, Zoom, Holland Herald, Avantgarde, ParisMode TV, MSGN, Bunka publishing and many others.
