Nonprofit Organization Management - Michigan City, Indiana, United States
The Michiana Humane Society provides services to over 1000 homeless animals every year. We help find deserving animals permanent, loving homes. We reduce the unwanted pet population through spaying and neutering, educating kids on the ways of kindness, and help put an end to needless animal suffering. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we do not receive tax dollars to operate our shelter. We are supported solely through donations, adoptions fees, service fees, bequests, as well as fundraisers. Here are few ways you can join us: Adopt: Come meet, play and find your new best friend from kittens, puppies, cats, dogs, rabbits and other companion animals. We are open seven days a week — check our website for the schedule. Volunteer: Help us make our work possible by Voluntering. From adoptions, to dog or cat volunteering, foster care, marketing, special projects/community events, you'll find an activity that's always fun and always vital to our animals. Donate/Sponsor: Sponsor an event or adoption day. Donate time, goods, or funds that makes a difference in a pet's life.
