Michigan EcoVillage is establishing sustainable communities in Flint and Detroit, with an economic focus on food-related businesses. We are identifying leaders and Board Members for the establishment of dual urban and rural EcoVillages in Flint and Detroit, Michigan. Currently 150 members support the Michigan EcoVillages. 20 leaders are founding the communities. We are planning to start investments in land and housing in 2011, and are currently establishing businesses and cottage industries which will provide employment opportunities for EcoVillage members.
