Mick Bettesworth BSc MRICS CMM ------------------------------------------------------ After working for 25 years with the MDL Marinas Group, Europe's largest private Marina Owners and operators, Mick established a new Marina Consultancy based in South Devon. Mick Bettesworth Marina Consultants Ltd will offer a complete range of services to Marina developers and owners ranging from site identification and design through to business planning and market positioning. A practicing Chartered Surveyor, Mick combines his property qualifications with 20 years of operational marina experience and is vastly experienced in both marina operations and waterside development. Mick graduated from the International Marina Institute (IMI) Advanced Marina Management School in 1994 and became the first European Certified Marina Manager in 1995. He has been part of the faculty for numerous Advanced and Intermediate Marina Managers' Schools in the UK, Europe and the US. He served on the Board of the Association of Marina Industries (AMI) and the IMI for 8 years. In 2010, he was elected Chairman of the prestigious Global Marina Institute. He is also Honorary President of MDL Italia. A frequent speaker at marina conferences, during the last 2 years he has delivered speeches in the UK, Europe, the US, China and Australia. In January 2014 he was appointed a director of the English Riviera Tourism Company. A fluent French speaker, Mick lives in Kingskerswell, South Devon and counts sailing and travelling amongst his hobbies.
