MicroFeeder's mineral feeders are meant for allocation of mineral feed supplements to cattle, sheep and horses on grass and in free housing systems.Minerals, especially microminerals and vitamins, are part of complex metabolism processes, such as the building blocks of enzymes and hormones, and are therefore essential for the immune status of domestic animals, and hence for their health, fertility and productivity. Animal welfare is connected to health because diseases cause pain and suffering, and in some cases lead to the death of the animal.Micro minerals and vitamins are not stored in the body and needs to be safeguarded daily through the feed. This is extra important in two situations: Dairy cows in the critical transition phase of the lactation eat less than they need for up to 120 days this period lasts. Livestock are also exposed during periods of grazing as the content of microminerals in the grass is unreliable and usually much under the animals' need.Pitstop, BasisFeeder and MineralRocker are, in the situations described, practical and economic tools for safeguarding the animal's supply of mineral feed supplements.
