The microfitness® philosophy redefines the fitness as being of 4 kinds: HEART, BREATH, BODY & PLAY with an emphasis on HEARTfitness: our COMPASSION, COURAGE & CONNECTIVITY with Ourselves, Others & our World in which we live. We focus on meaningful and medically-relevant fitness that can occur in brief bursts--from 2 seconds up to 20 minutes. In microfitness, wellbeing is centered around our intrinsic drives for MEANING, PURPOSE, BELONGING and our innate desires for LOVE, PLEASURE & FREEDOM. Based on current research findings in the areas of neuroscience, psychology and physiology, microfitness aspires to shift how we pursue wellbeing and reimagine how fully we can create it.
