Middle Language Development Institute (MELDI) is an internationally focused institution with 55 International branches and 10000 students. Its goal is to be an international leader in provision of high quality, customer responsive English Language Teaching and higher education programs, International Accreditation, consultancy, project management and advisory services. The institute has two schools (the School of Applied Language Studies, and the School of International Development) and one division (the MELDI International accredited and English Language Centres).School of Development StudiesThe School of Development Studies has grown from the resources and experience of an international project management business with over 10 years of experience in the delivery and management of development assistance projects in the Middle East region. It brings together the study and practice of development assistance, providing both practitioners and scholars opportunities to work towards the advancements of knowledge and the improvement of practice in development. Delivery and management of international aid projects for bilateral and multilateral agencies and governments of developing countries are coupled with the study of and research into development issues through formal courses of study, short courses, commissioned research and publications.School of Applied Language Studies The School of Applied Language Studies provides award courses in English as an International Language, especially at Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master levels. The School is also developing an undergraduate Bachelor of English as an International Language (which is still under development and subject to accreditation before it can be offered). The School also offers an articulated series of ESL teacher training programs: a Certificate in Teaching English as an International Language, a Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as an International Language.
