The Middle-Snake-Tamarac Rivers Watershed District is the regional governmental unit responsible for managing and protecting the water resources of the Middle-Snake-Tamarac Rivers watershed. There are 1,476 square miles located in northwestern Minnesota in the Red River of the North Basin in Marshall, Polk, Kittson, Pennington and Roseau Counties. The District was established on August 28, 1970 under the Minnesota Watershed District Act, Minnesota Statutes Chapter 103D.
