Midland College BEDC is a collaborative effort between Midland College and the City of Midland. The BEDC can help you improve your credit score. We will review your credit history and provide a personalized action plan to strengthen your score. The BEDC provides credit reports with FICO credit scores from all 3 credit bureaus for a nominal fee. The BEDC also offers Homebuyer services to help you get mortgage ready! We can explain the process and provide information on current debt to income ratios required to qualify for a mortgage loan. We also offer homebuyer education classes for $30 (online options available) to meet the requirements of the City of Midland, the Midland Community Development Corporation (MCDC) and the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation, but not the Southeast Texas Housing Finance Corporation (SETH). The BEDC also provides confidential counseling for preparing a business plan, starting a business, expanding an existing business, preparing a business plan and identifying financing options and additional business support services. The BEDC has collaborated with many organizations in Midland, TX over the years including Casa de Amigos, Family Promise of Midland, Midland Fair Havens.
