Nonprofit Organization Management - Nesbyen, Buskerud, Norway
Midlands Children Hope Project (MCHP) is a Norwegian NGO founded in 2012. The charity is led by a group of dedicated individuals that works for a better future vulnerable families and children in Zimbabwe. We have already completed two children's homes for street children that can accommodate a total of 20 street children that formerly slept split on 14 beds with no mattresses. Today we lead a range of projects to empower our beneficiaries. Our main focuses are as follows:1) Cover the critical needs of our beneficiaries, such as school fees (Hope Education), medical needs (Hope Medical, Hope Welfare) and other urgent necessities (Hope Orphanage, Hope Emergency, Hope Outreach)2) Lead a range of mentorship networks (Hope Mentor, Hope Foster, Hope Intern) and classes (Hope Class, Hope Center) to inform and empower individuals to create a better environment, family life, jobs and community for themselves.3) Give financial assistance to individuals and entrepreneurs to enable them to create a stable income and create jobs in their community. We offer start-up loans focused on vulnerable individuals (Hope Families, Hope Girls, Hope Garden) and micro finance options for those with bigger start-up plans (Hope Business). After many years working in selected areas of Zimbabwe it is core to our belief that there is a big difference between living in an emergency area or suffering from severe sickness to having a good life, and that there is a lack of organizations working to help families from living in these "grey areas" often ignored to give them the knowledge, motivation and stability to achieve their full potential. The core of all projects is sustainability and green solutions, with the orphanage being purely run on solar power. The organization also focuses on the individual need of each beneficiary to ensure that our programs are tailor made to their needs, not the other way around.
