Midwest Evaluation and Research (MER), founded in 2011 and incorporated in 2015, is a Kansas-based research and evaluation firm providing consulting services to make the world a better place for the disempowered, disenfranchised, and at-risk individuals and populations. Working with select groups of non-profit, government and business organizations, we provide a full range of evaluation, research and consulting services that include:- Data management and storage- Report / document production- Program conceptualization and planning- Science-driven program implementation- Survey and instrument development- Etc...With more than twenty years of research, program evaluation, policy analysis, and technical assistance experience, Dr. Matt Shepherd began MER. The national evaluation expert on Healthy Relationship and Responsible Fatherhood programs, over a decade he oversaw hundreds of evaluation efforts funded by the Federal Government. MER has a versatile staffing approach, with seven employees and consultants, and strategic partnerships with numerous universities, evaluators, and researchers across Kansas and the country. Our staff have experience in the areas of social and public health research, evaluation, technical assistance, communication, financial and multimedia initiatives. MER staff are considered to be experts in data collection, analysis, feedback, and dissemination, with extensive experience in qualitative techniques and statistical analyses. We seek to be known for our abilities to make the impersonal and often complex processes accessible and collaborative ones.
