From a philosophical standpoint, mDC takes its name to heart. The built and natural environments evolve within a milieu of interconnected relationships. And, by understanding that these relationships thrive as a mutually dynamic system, it's important to identify all the stakeholders and participants that contribute to sustaining the system, especially within a specific context that has unique qualities and characteristics.By partnering with local academics, architects, ecologists, urbanists, artists, designers, contractors and students, our design approach focuses on establishing a strong group of professionals who come together to solve architectural, urban, ecological and cultural problems within a diverse social and ecological setting. Our projects range from small scale, stand-alone commercial buildings and single-family homes to collaborative competitions and non-profits.
