Mills Tutoring offers Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and general entrance exam tuition for children aged 8 to 11 (years 4 to 6). Tuition occurs one-to-one at the child's home in zones 1 and 2 of London and online across the UK and internationally. Mills Tutoring is run by Fiona, who has over twelve years of experience private tutoring, running small group tutoring sessions and working in schools. Fiona is an English qualified lawyer but having worked at international law firms for six years, she has now left full-time law to enable her to spend more time tutoring, which is her passion. Fiona has had particular success in helping with preparation for 11+ and entrance exams for year 7 and generally improving confidence and attitude at primary level to help children achieve their potential. Most of Fiona's students have come to her through recommendations from other parents. As Fiona only tutors children aged 8 to 11, she has specialist knowledge of the needs and requirements for children of this age, which sets her apart from many other tutors.Fiona's aim is to teach, mentor and be a good role model for the students she works with to enable them to develop their own skills and techniques for their school and adult life, to inspire her students to have high aspirations and to help her students to achieve their goals. Fiona tailors her tutoring to each individual child and uses different methods depending on how that student prefers to learn. Fiona gives bespoke advice to parents on what they can do and what methods their child can use for improving ability and confidence and she also gives guidance on how to go about deciding on the most suitable secondary school for their child. Fiona is a member of the Tutors' Association, the only professional membership body for tutoring.
