Co-founded by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Adam Engle and Francisco J. Varela, Mind & Life Europe (MLE) is a non-profit organisation that bridges and integrates contemplative practices and wisdom with modern research capabilities.We do that by working with renowned leaders across the areas of science, education, contemplation and human development using the knowledge in effective programs at the grass-roots level in Europe in order to decrease suffering and promote human flourishing.Our current MLE initiatives focus on four core areas:- Philosophy- Education- Nutrition- Neuro- and Cognitive ScienceMoreover, we want to foster tomorrow's leaders in the are of contemplative science through our yearly European Summer Research Institute (ESRI) and the European Varela Awards (EVAs).
