Building academic success for today's children; shaping the minds of tomorrow's leaders.Mind Meets Music is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in West Michigan cultivating children's academic success through music.Mind Meets Music is an academic achievement program using music to improve literacy skills. We are committed to a quality learning experience and the success of underserved preschool through second grade students.Using music as its medium, Mind Meets Music's expertly trained and highly skilled Master Teaching Artists facilitate 30-minute sessions twice a week in classrooms. Mind Meets Music is NOT a traditional music program and is not intended to replace school music classes. Rather, it serves as an academic enhancement and acts as a conduit connecting the arts with general education, specifically literacy. Mind Meets Music classes are child-centered, sequential, experiential, and intense. The outcome is a revolutionary arts integration program of the highest quality, designed to increase the likelihood of academic success for high-needs, at-risk preschool through second grade students.
