Pacbase allows programmers to develop COBOL applications with an extremely high productivity. Due to this benefit, a number of organizations in US & Europe, across industry verticals, has preferred Pacbase over native COBOL over the last four decades. Now, couple of years back, IBM has announced that it would discontinue its support for Pacbase beyond 2015 – this will force all these organizations to migrate their entire Pacbase code base into native COBOL.
