The Romanian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration (MDRAP) was established on 04.01.2013, by the merging of the former Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism (MDRT: 2009-2013) and the Directorate General for Public Administration of the Ministry of Administration and Interior (MAI : 2007-2013). MDRAP manages, together with other relevant ministries, the Romanian government policy in the following areas: - regional development, - territorial cohesion and territorial development, - cross-border, transnational and interregional, - spatial planning, urbanism and architecture, - housing, urban management and real-estate development, public works, construction, - central and local public administration: decentralization reform and administrative-territorial reorganization, tax and regional and local public finance, dialogue with the associations, the development of public services, state aid, industrial, civil service management, - the financial assistance available to Romania through the European Union programmes: the Regional Operational Programme, the Operational Programme for the Development of the Administrative Capacity and the European Territorial Cooperation programmes: http://www.mdrap.ro.
