The Minnesota Deer Hunters Association (MDHA) was founded in 1980 and is one of Minnesota's top conservation organizations with 60 chapters and nearly 20,000 members across the State. MDHA and its partners have invested over $43 million in habitat projects in Minnesota. Nearly 1,000 youth ranging from 11 to 17 attend MDHA's week-long Forkhorn Camps each summer where they are provided a hands-on, in-depth training on firearms, bow hunting and advanced hunter safety as well as other necessary tools and training to make sure they are safe and comfortable in the outdoors. MDHA actively advocates for Minnesota's deer and deer hunters at the Minnesota Legislature and U.S. Capitol.
