Minnesota Electric Racing's (MER) purpose is to stimulate the interest of electric vehicles and expand the knowledge around them among the student body of the University of Minnesota. The team will host general meetings and design meetings in pursuit of competing in the annual Formula SAE North competition. Prospective members can use the contact methods listed on the Goperlink website to become involved with MER. MER seeks to strengthen the academic excellence of its members through the application of classroom concepts in a hands-on learning environment. The design, manufacturing, and testing of the performance electric vehicle will teach members relevant industry processes and provide experience applicable to disciplines such as engineering and business.
