It is a well-defined strategy that creates opportunities for retailers to increase sales and access customers in an untargeted location. Miropass online marketplace connects retail sales direct to consumers, third-party business-to-consumer and consumer-to-consumer sales. While copying business models from developed countries has been the norm for african countries. This method has struggled to work in Nigeria on the retail industry particularly the e-commerce space. This has seen e-commerce platforms in Nigeria fail because they literally copied giants like Alibaba and Amazon. After our feasibility study we realized Africans and Nigerians behave differently when it comes to shopping. They like to work into a store, buy what they want and walk away with it. This means there has to be a blend between physical stores and the e-commerce platform That is what Miropass A-mart has done in Nigeria and Togo.
