The Miss Black Illinois USA Pageant provides a wonderful opportunity to empower young women of color through scholarship and service initiatives. Mission: The Miss Black USA Scholarship Pageant Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit organization, recognized under the 501(c)3 code of the Internal Revenue Service in the state of Maryland. It is the mission of the Miss Black Illinois USA Scholarship Pageant to provide young women of color with personal, professional, academic and scholarship opportunities. Promote young women's voices concerning culture, education, and community issues Provide a forum for young women to express their viewpoints, talents and accomplishments to each other and to a world audience. Ensure every contestant walks away feeling honored, empowered, humbled and proud to be a part of the legacy of black excellence. Vision: The Miss Black Illinois USA pageant will be recognized as the premiere Pageant of the future for Royalty in beauty pageant competition for women of America. As such, the Miss Black Illinois USA Pageant will be a vehicle for personal development and promotion of cultural appreciation. Scholarship: The winner of Miss Black Illinois USA will receive a $5,000.00 prize package that includes scholarship funding, photo shoot, roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations to the National Pageant. Miss Illinois Talented Teen USA will receive a $3,500.00 prize package that includes scholarship funding, roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations to the National Pageant as the Illinois representative, photo shoot and more. It is the mission of Miss Black USA Pageant to provide educational opportunities to outstanding young women of color and to develop the "whole woman mind, body and spirit" that will encourage them to embrace and showcase the black community's cultural diversity and to assist them in inspiring the world through their social and humanitarian efforts.
