We are the Franchise in Bangladesh for Miss World, the longest running international celebration of beauty. Young women from around the world come together every year to vie for the coveted prize of being crowned Miss World and we are the authority in Bangladesh to organize and execute the Bangladesh part every year to provide the contestant for Gran Finale of yearly International Miss World Program. Antar Showbiz and Omicon Entertainment jointly own and organize this largest beauty pageant event and TV Show. National Television (NTV) airs it throughout the nation as the broadcast partner.The first Grand Launching of Miss World Bangladesh was launched through an event held in the capital Dhaka 27 July 2017, where Omicon Entertainment's Chairman, Engineer Mehedi Hasan and Antar Showbiz's Chairman Swapan Chowdhury was present and announced details of the pageant as organizers.Hasanul Haq Inu, the Information Minister, graced the launching event as the chief guest. The minister also invited everyone to take such positive initiative for women empowerment in Bangladesh. Miss World was founded in 1951 and introduced as part of the ‘Festival of Britain' celebrations. The internationally acclaimed beauty contest draws in an annual audience of over a billion televised viewers. The reigning Miss World is Megan Young of the Philippines, who was crowned on the 27th of September in Bali Indonesia.Since 1972, the ethos of 'Beauty with a Purpose' has been a central theme to Miss World, encouraging everyone involved in the competition to raise nearly $1 billion for charitable causes around the world. Created by Julia Morley, every year Miss World contestants set up Beauty with a Purpose projects in more than 100 countries. This gives tens of thousands of young women every year, the opportunity to use their abilities to make a real and lasting contribution to the lives of the sick and disadvantaged.
