The history of Mission Viejo Country Club is full of celebrated milestones for both the city of Mission Viejo and for the game of golf. Initially nicknamed "Mission Impossible", the Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed championship golf course has hosted many PGA events and has also been the training ground for world-class champions such as Mark O'Meara.Mission Viejo Company was formed in 1963 as a land development and home building firm and soon began planning the community of Mission Viejo. In April of 1967, Mission Viejo Country Club opened its 165 acre 18 hole golf course with much anticipation and applause. Framed by Southern California's natural beauty, MVCC is a secluded retreat ideally situated between Saddleback Mountain and the pristine beaches of Laguna. Mission Viejo Country Club carries forth the old California tradition of privacy and elegance with its old world arches, Andalusian architecture and stunning vistas. Mission Viejo Country Club is truly a members club in every sense of the word.
