Missão Brasil Brasília is one of over 400 geographic proselyting areas of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) throughout the world. Each of these missions consists of approximately 200 full-time volunteer young men and women between the ages of 18 and 30 who leave their homes for 18 months to two years to practice and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ as contained in the Holy Bible and Book of Mormon and other sacred scripture. They invite all who hear their message to become members of Christ's Church through faith, repentance, baptism by immersion and obedience to His teachings.Missionaries also organize and participate in weekly humanitarian service projects among the people where they live.
