Mist's goal is to enhance and restore the privacy of its users by giving them back full control and ownership over their data.To this end, Mist offers effort free, private cloud software solutions on a server in the premises of its users. The server functions as a central hub on which each user can store his/her data. Mist uses self-made software as well as secured open source programmes. Mist is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux as well as iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.
