Mistoura is a self-taught pastry chef, and she is the founder of Mistoura Pastry. Her roots are in Togo, West Africa, she grew up in France and now live in the US. Living in these 3 countries shaped her passion for food and fascination for pastry. She had the chance to witness her mother cook wonderful dishes with very little, then to admire French chefs' creations. Living in the US helped her connect the dots and go back to basic ingredients, with a sense of integrity and respect for the planet and the people who produce the ingredients.Mistoura Pastry is the product of Mistoura's story, of her curiosity and passion for simple, elegant and ethical pastries. Now she wants to give back, to connect with her customers, the planet, the producers. Mistoura wants to make simple and elegant pastries that make sense, bring emotion to her customers, and raise people's awareness of what they eat.
