MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub Details

The Concrete Sustainability Hub (CSHub) is an interdisciplinary team of researchers from departments across the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Founded in 2009, and funded by the Portland Cement Association (PCA) and the Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC) Research & Education Foundation, the CSHub brings together leaders from academia, industry, and government to develop breakthroughs using a holistic approach that will achieve durable and sustainable homes, buildings, and infrastructure in ever more demanding environments. By investigating cement and concrete from the nanoscale up, and considering its full life cycle, we are working to reduce the energy footprint of the world's most common building material.
