The history behind the company stretches back to 1859.We provide the design and manufacture of drying, calcining and related plant and equipment to the chemical, mineral, pharmaceutical, waste to energy and food industries.Our Research and Development commitment, together with extensive test facilities enables us to recommend optimum and cost-effective systems for a chosen application. We prefer to work closely with our customers to understand their process needs as well as business goals and vision for their investment.The extensive range of equipment we provide can be adapted to suit many forms on a batch or continuous process flow basis, from laboratory sized units processing a few kilos of material to large scale units capable of processing many tonnes per hour.We also provide the design, manufacture and rebuild of intensive mixing equipment. Our standard range covers laboratory equipment and production mixers up to 620 litres chamber capacity for use in the rubber and plastics industry.We operate from well serviced facilities at Kingmoor Park with direct connection to Junction 44 of the M6 Motorway. The facilities include:• 5,425 square metres of fabrication and assembly space over 5 bays with 2 x 15 tonne overhead cranes. Also includes welfare facilities, archives and stores.• 537 square metres of projects, drawing, commercial and administration office space.We also operate from a stand-alone Test Centre facility, adjacent to the old works in Denton Holme, Carlisle. This covers 445 square metres and includes a full suite of test scale plant, laboratory, meeting room and offices.
