Project SALT is an enterprise that combines biotechnology and the craft of traditional spirits production. The company was founded in 2013 and after a year of R&D projekt SALT launched NORDIC SAKE, which is the first in the world liquor based on open water seaweed plants. SALT is a abbreviation of Skovgaard Aller Tang as a reference to the founding partners Lasse Skovgaard Jensen and Uffe Bjørn Hørby Aller and the main focus of the enterprise, which is to develop and mature high value products of seaweed (tang in Danish).
