Mixed Immersion is an 3D Audio Production company with a focus on creating the very best immersive, location based, audio led experiences within Experiential, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality & Live Performances. We refer to ourselves the ‘World's First AFX Company' applying the same consideration that Visual Effects (VFX) have to creating amazing 3D worlds (Lighting, textures, reflections), but where we create 3D audio environments works with real world realism & believability. The way in which we capture, develop & post produce ‘real world' Spatial Audio is truly unique and changes the way in which users feel as well as hear, which is paramount to them feeling more present and immersed, whatever the execution. We display our experiences across a number of delivery platforms including headphones, AR, VR, speaker installations, cinemas & theatre. The flexibility and diverse nature of our work is what allows us to work across a wide range of industries, sectors & clients. Oscar Winning Director, Danny Boyle once said in an interview, "The truth is, for me, it's obvious that 70, 80 percent of a movie is sound," he says. "You don't realise it because you can't see it."With the advent of consumer Virtual Reality, the impact of sound in the user experience has become more important that ever. Now that the viewer is centrally placed, within the entertainment medium, the use of 3D, Spatial Audio allows for storytellers to direct the view of the audience and thought sound cues as in the real world (like when someone calls our name) and therefore negates the need for visual cues or voice led narrative, which ultimately breaks the suspension of disbelief and therefore, the feeling of presence.
