mneTV is based at Film City Glasgow, part of the ever-expanding media hub on Pacific Quay. We're close to the headquarters of BBC Scotland and nearby are the Science Centre, the Clyde Auditorium and the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. With over 100 series names to its credit, the company was established in 1989. With a full-time staff of 15, mneTV is around the seventieth largest in the UK sector, the 15th largest outside of London, and the second largest indigenous company in Scotland. It is also Scotland’s most prolific Sports producer, and is the country’s most travelled company having worked in over three hundred destinations across the world, from the slums of Quito to the glitz of Los Angeles and New York. Recently the company worked in India, China, Vietnam, Guatemala, Botswana and South Africa. Awards range from the Spirit of the Festival Award at the Celtic Film Festival to a Creative Excellence Award at the International Festival of Film and TV in California. The company works across Sport and Entertainment and has experience of long-running and returning-series in outside broadcasts, location and studio work. mneTV annually produces over 120 Outside Broadcasts in Sport to cover Scottish Premiership and Championship Football, International Women’s Football, PRO12 Rugby and Shinty. In Entertainment, mneTV produces multi-camera coverage of International Sheepdog Trials and Country Music Festivals, in addition to single camera coverage of documentary series, and infotainment shows. Production work across all genres is supported by five camera units and four edit suites within the company premises.
