We intend to rejuvenate a world-changing event which took place within the 19th Century under the name of The Hague Peace Conference (THPC) and which, at the time, would seek international cooperation for ensuring world peace. Considering the actual and current state of play of the world, with conflicts emerging in many areas (such as Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle East, etc.) we believe it is, once again, high time to establish a formal forum of discussions which will put a spotlight on the magnanimous ideas of global peace, human understanding, Security and Justice. Moreover, we aim to recreate the proceedings of the Conference and comply them to the current international scene in order to contribute to the global effort of raising awareness and bring to world knowledge the importance of international cooperation and global welfare. Additionally, we intend to contribute to the further improvement of The Hague Conference, bring more transparency to the process and make it available to the general public. We also propose the continuance of Model of The Hague Peace Conference as a new tradition of simulation for students, organised by Lunastrum. Another objective of our action will be to facilitate the participation of young enthusiasts and professionals in what promises to be not only a forum for discussion, but also a pioneering event leading to innovative solutions to our rapidly changing and challenging world.
