Modern Classics is a car club we set up in June 2017. It is unique in so far as it is 100% funded by Superyacht crew (which is the industry we have been involved in for years) .The club currently owns 11 cars which are available for use by our members and can be pre - booked using points via our website www.modernclassics.ccAll our cars are what we term as Modern Classics (hence the name of the club) which are cars from the 80's 90's and 00's which have achieved Classic or in some cases "cult car" status and, as a result are increasing in value.The cars are owned by the club and, as the value increases above a pre set threshold they are sold, the profits banked by the club and the original investment used to purchase another "appreciating" Modern Classic.The concept is simple and was originally set up as a means for Superyacht Crew to have exciting cars to drive when they came home on leave. This has now developed somewhat and memberships are now available to friends and family of existing members. This allows us to keep a small, family feel to the membership but also allows us to grow. The structure of the club is very much like any other private members club and as such you apply to join. You can be introduced by another member or simply apply to join. Our plan for the next 12 months is to increase Modern Classics in the UK to 200 members (including founding members) and, once we reach this stage we will look to expand to France and Spain.If you love cars and driving and would like to drive some special older cars then Modern Classics is the Club for you.
