MOMus, the Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki is officially launched!The Museum of Modern Art - Costakis Collection (former State Museum of Contemporary Art), the Museum of Contemporary Art – Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and State Museum of Contemporary Art collections (former Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art), the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, the Experimental Center for the Arts (former Contemporary Art Center of Thessaloniki) and the Museum Alex Mylona are joining their forces, comprising the biggest organisation for visual arts in Greece! A new artistic programme of exhibitions and projects based on modern and contemporary art, photography, experimental arts and sculpture takes place on the premises of the museums (which remain the same in Thessaloniki and in Athens), while exhibitions and events of MOMus are hosted in other places in Greece and abroad.
