An education centre run by a residential community, Monkton Wyld Court aims to provide an exemplar of intelligent adaptation to the world's environmental, social and economic changes, a place where a diverse range of people can come to learn and share practical skills in sustainable living as well as benefit from creative expression and personal development.Operating under the auspices of educational charity Monkton Wyld School, we endeavor to provide and promote opportunities for learning, focusing especially on practical skills and personal development related to low impact living. We do this through a varied programme of workshops and residential courses, organised day visits, lunches, events and tours, as well as providing an affordable and memorable venue for the local community and guests from further afield. In sharing our day to day lives as a working community, striving to reconcile a 19th-century rectory with today's ecological imperatives and individual needs with organisational ones, we hope to make an impression both instructive and engaging for visitors, guests and residents alike.
