Monmouth Council, BSA serves more than 7,000 youth by providing Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturing, Sea Scouts, Exploring and Learning for Life programs across Monmouth County.The Council is a voluntary association of citizens, including representatives of organizations chartered by the Boy Scouts of America, to promote the Scouting program within the geographical boundaries of Monmouth County. There are four major functions involved in delivering the program. They are: membership, finance, program, and unit service.The Monmouth Council is chartered by the Boy Scouts of America and incorporated in the State of New Jersey to administer Scouting in Monmouth County.To serve to the county in an effective manner, the council is administratively divided into districts. It is through districts that the various communities of the county receive the Scouting program. The objectives of the districts are to expand opportunities for youth to join Scouting and to help our charter partners provide a quality program to the youth participating in their units. The district also has the responsibility for carrying out the four functions of Scouting: membership, finance, program, and unit service.
