Montessori International School of the Plains Details
Montessori International School of the Plains (MISP) is a non-profit Junior/Senior High School where the Montessori Method is used. MISP integrates the Nebraska requirements, the Montessori philosophy, and current learning theory. Whether a student wants or needs more of a challenge or more accommodation than is possible in a traditional school setting MISP enables success at new levels. MISP offers instruction utilizing the Montessori method with students in grades 7-12. In addition to our Junior and Senior High curriculum we have a "school away from school" program where students apply skills and develop leadership in the real world. One day per week MISP partners with Hillcrest Mable Rose, a facility for those with Alzheimer's disease or in need of memory support. MISP students use Montessori methods with the residents and participate in a research project.
