Every brand has a story, so, here's mine. As some of you may, or may not know, I started off as @caragalskedesigns with my tailgate collection. This was the first time I took a chance and shared my designs with the world and I'm so happy I did. It helped me open my eyes to see the unconditional support from everyone around me. I saw such a positive response from my friends, fellow classmates, family, and followers. That mini collection of game day apparel gave me the confidence I needed in myself to start designing. For a while I thought long and hard of what I wanted my brand name to be. I decided not to continue under the name cara galske designs because I felt that there was more to my brand than just me. As I made a list of possible options, I felt as though no particular idea stuck out to me. Then, my mom suggested the name Monti'ara. MONTI originating from my grandmother's maiden name mixed with the ARA portion of my name. Although she passed years ago, I felt as though her legacy should continue to live on. She was the most honorable, loving, and generous human being. Her contagious happiness, genuine kindness, young/fun spirit, beauty, confidence, and positivity are all the things I want my brand to encompass. As I start my new brand, I hope I can spread her cheerful approach to life just as well as she did.
