MOON is a national network of veterinary referral practices that have joined forces to improve organizational efficiency, promote growth and profitability, increase equity value, and help ensure sustainability, all while preserving the veterinary ethos in our hospitals.We have developed an innovative business model that enables Member Practices to maintain local autonomy while enjoying the benefits of collaboration. MOON's professional management team doesn't impose policy or business protocols from a distant power center, but instead focuses upon education, facilitation, capacity development, and information sharing with respect to benchmarking and best practices, both from within our profession and outside our industry. One of the most innovative aspects is that each Member Practice has the same (equal) voting rights as each of the other Member Practices, regardless of practice size, duration of involvement, amount of MOON equity that is held, or other factors. Member Practices derive benefits from shared services, economies of scale, professional management support, and other value-adding activities that increase growth and profitability. In short, we are working to realize the full potential in our people and practices with an approach that combines the best of both centralized and decentralized business models.
